;1. Start off with a new image of your size with a black backgound. Create a new layer (we're only going to use one layer in this tutorial so don't care to call it something). Create dots with the airbrush, use a 100px brush.2. Now do some work with the smudge tool. Drag the smudge tool from out to in and in to out to get a nice effect. Work on it to make it look nice, yet random.3. Now here comes the part where all the noobies fall off. This might take time.Start off by using different brushes (I used photoshop brushes only..!) and make effects. Use the grungy brushes and make sparkles coming out of the explosion. Do some more smudging, add more brushing and vola!4. Pick up your burn tool, choose the scattered maple leaves brush for your burn tool,master diameter (or brush size if you like)= 15-25range=highlightsexposure=22%Now go over your white boring explosion and brush... Release your mouse button and brush over it to create some dark parts and some lighter. Make it cool, yet random. Vary the brush size for better results!5. Here comes the easy parts - straight ahead actually. Duplicate your layer and set it to hard light. Then go image - adjustments - hue/saturation and get a nice color (you have to lower the brightness to make the colors appear). If your a real pro, you can use color balance. I used hue/saturation6. Duplicate that layer you just made, and set it to Color Burn. Now go image - adjustments - hue/saturation and give it a nice, warm, red color. This will add depth and some realistic effect to it.7. Now you're done. This effect works wonderfully in abstracts.
Create this very cool effect that can be used on groovy templates or just on oldskool layouts. This effect was used in the admin-signatures of v8 of the forums...

What You'll Be Creating
Step 1 Search your shapes database of Photoshop for this funny star;

Step 3 We're gonna use 3 colors;Choose your colors first;We are gonna use a light version, a normal version and a dark version of your color;
Step 4 Make sure the star is white and start using the Polygonal Lasso-Tool;Click on the point of one of the spikes of the star and drag it down HOLDING SHIFT!Make the selection finished like mine below, then fill it with the light color;
Step 5 Do the same with the other spike, but then use the normal color;
Step 6 Then again, but the light color;
Step 7 And the last one must fit perfectly, and it must be filled with the dark color;
Step 8 Do the same with a few other stars and you will have a nice image :)
Step 1 Open a new document with a screencapture of a cartoon-serie that was on tv;
Step 2 For this, you're gonna need the Pen-Tool for this tutorial, so know how to use that first!First select a standard black 3px brush, and draw with the Pen-Tool the OUTER lines only;
Step 3 Then select a 2px black brush and do the rest of the lines;
Step 4 Then, get a brush and draw the eyes;
Step 5 Create a new background, or just remake the background like I did...
Step 6 Start coloring under the lines;
Step 7 Make sure everything has the basic color that you got with the Eyedropper;
Step 8 And place every color on a NEW layer;
Step 9 Use the Pen-Tool to select all the areas that are dark, and fill that with a darker color ON A NEW LAYER!
Step 10 Do the same with the extreme shadows;
Step 11 You can also add lightning by selecting a lighter color then the base-color and draw shine-lines on the places that are exposed to sunlight;
Step 12 Finish everything qua shading, and you're done!
In this tutorial I'll show you how to use Adobe Photoshop to create a surreal giraffe using a variety of photo manipulation techniques.
First we'll build the base scene using images of a meadow and the sky. Later we'll add the giraffe, create a neck from a twisted tree, and add some branches. After that, we'll import a standing bird and some flying ones, and we'll add leaves and grass blades. We'll use several adjustment/color fill layers to complete the final effect.
- How to Build the Base Scene
Create a new 1500 x 1500 px document in Photoshop with the given settings:
Go to Layer > New Layer > Color Fill and pick the color #70dce3.
Open the sky image. Drag this image into the cyan canvas using the Move Tool (V) and place it in the upper half.
Click the second icon at the bottom of the Layers panel to add a mask to this layer. Activate the Brush Tool (B) and use a soft round one with black color (soft black brush) with the Opacity about 30% to reduce the visibility of the clouds in the sky on the top left.
Create a Color Balance adjustment layer above the sky and set it as Clipping Mask. Change the Midtones settings to match the color of the sky with the background.
Make a Photo Filter adjustment layer and pick the color #cbe36b. On this layer mask, use a soft black brush to erase the effect on the bottom of the sky.
Add a Curves adjustment layer to brighten the sky. On this layer mask, use a soft black brush to erase the left as we're aiming to add the main light on the right.
On the sky layer, go to Filter > Blur > Gaussian Blur and change the Radius to 4 px. This step is to add some depth to the scene.
必威平台，Drag the meadow image into the main canvas and place it in the bottom half. Use the Free Transform Tool (Control-T) to change the meadow's perspective. Convert this layer to a Smart Object.
Add a mask to this layer and use a soft black brush to remove the hard edges of the meadow and blend it with the horizon of the sky.
